A parish of welcome, worship and quiet service since 1912.
For over 110 years St Joseph's has gathered families, students and neighbours to celebrate Mass, receive the sacraments and care for those in need. All are welcome — whether you have been coming for decades or are visiting for the first time.
Faith celebrated, neighbours served.
St Joseph's exists to nurture Catholic faith through the celebration of Mass and the seven sacraments, and to serve our neighbours — especially those on the margins — with practical love and hospitality.
Our bluestone walls on the corner of Hope and Melville Streets have witnessed baptisms, weddings, funerals and the ordinary Sundays that shape a lifetime of faith. Behind them, a parish that is very much alive: playgroups and morning teas, food relief and refugee sponsorship, quiet adoration and a choir in full voice.

More than Sundays.
Faith is lived between the pews — in playgroups and morning teas, in visits to the sick and meals for families doing it tough.
